When Crab Was King: The Rise and Fall of the Kodiak King Crab Fishery

A Year-long radio project of the Kodiak Maritime Museum

Fishing on the Madre Dolorosa (Episode 21 Runs Sept 28 to Oct 4)

T he Madre Delolrosa had a reputation. The vessel had sunk with all hands. It was raised by a guy who never fished and he liked to tease green horns about its history.

The vessel continued to fish many years after it was raised from the deep.
